LEKA Warm Roofs
LEKA Warm Roofs
Every room in a property counts towards a home! And every home could have a room that falls short of the mark compared to the rest. These rooms are normally conservatories because of their poor thermal qualities.
To hear the question “is your conservatory too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter?” is a term well ingrained into the home improvements industry. A simpler way of understanding this is because most conservatory roofs were never designed to provide a covering for a room to use all year round. Without proper insulation, the thermal optimum balance between the external and internal temperatures are, in most cases, working against each other.
To combat this problem there have been a flood of products on the market for homeowners to choose between. From over cladding externally and internally, to replacement with materials such as aluminium and wood. The horrifying fact is that those products are riddled with faults. Many of these methods are not advised under building control and are not deemed safe by industry professionals.
In making sure we offer the best product available, Anglian RoofCare are registered installers of the Leka warm roof system. Using Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) for a frame, you can have a roof above your head that is made from a material that is not susceptible to rotting, warping or condensation. No aluminium or wood is used in Leka warm roof and, in our eyes, it is the only true warm roof that does what it is intended to do. If in doubt, check the facts with your local building control authority for the comparisons!
What is GRP?
We are all familiar with wood and aluminium to create frames, but GRP can be an alien material to the consumer. Glass Reinforced Plastic is becoming a major product in the construction trade and is relied heavily upon for it’s versatility, longevity, being lightweight and strength. By weight, some GRPs can be stronger than steel. In extreme environments and in dealing with condensation, GRP is a far superior choice than metal, wood or plastic! Plus it holds its shape better too.
Using a product approved by JHAI (a government licensed inspector of buildings), we assure our customers that their conservatory can be transformed into a modern room that compliments your home. With the choice of coloured tiles, a conservatory can effectively look like a real addition to a property. Taking back your tired and underused conservatory can be done by a genuine system that is cost effective, lightweight and energy efficient (with U values as low as 0.12).
